AIM Altitude has been involved with numerous defence projects for both land-based and aerospace programmes. These include the Astor Sentinel R1, Foxhound armoured vehicle, Typhoon, Saab 2000 aerial radar conversion, Nimrod, Rapier, C130, C17, EH101 and Merlin Helicopter. Civil Defence and EMS projects include Saab Horizons conversions and Embraer C 390 Transport passenger to freighter.

Military Products

AIM Altitude has the design and manufacturing capability for all aspects of Military aircraft interiors, (fixed and rotary wing) including thermal and acoustic insulation, aircraft weather protection covers and ancillary ground support equipment. We manufacture our products with a range of composites, plastics, fibreglass insulation, fabrics and webbing at Cabin Interiors, Bournemouth.

Present products include AW101 interiors, MD explorer interiors, SAAB2000/340 AEW, Airbus A320/A330 insulation. AIM can offer full design and certification of interiors, acoustic and thermal insulation and ancillary ground support equipment.

Complete interiors include: stowages, workstations, doors, aviation racking, aircraft flooring, troop seating, insulation blankets, composite doors, covers, cargo restraint/harness, racking. Composite materials applications include: radar panels, missile containers, avionic racking, refuelling probe fairings, floor panels, lightweight transportation boxes, avionics cabinets, composite doors and covers, medical stretcher assemblies, radomes, rotor blade boxes, sensor probes.

Military Customers

AIM Altitude has been designing and manufacturing military equipment and aircraft interiors for the UK MOD since the early 1940’s. During the early 1960’s, AIM Altitude developed with Westland Helicopters the interiors for the S61 (Sea-king helicopter) and has since been the major interior supplier for UK-built helicopters. Working with the military for 80 years, our first customer was in the UK MOD during WW2. Military interiors started with the S61 helicopter, built under licence by Westland helicopters, in the 1960’s. AIM Altitude works for military customers in the UK, EU and USA predominantly, with worldwide product in service.

Major Customers presently include Westland helicopters (now Leonardo Helicopters), UK MoD, SAAB Aircraft, Bae Systems, Raytheon, Honeywell and MD Helicopters. AIM Altitude manufactures a range of equipment from Military Aircraft protection covers, to complete interior cabin linings and Thermal and acoustic insulation.
